It started as a plain t-shirt that I purchased from the Dollar Store. I followed the tutorial that I found here but added ribbons instead of using the t-shirt scraps. I also turned the no-sew into a sewing project by sewing the ribbon up the front so that it could tie at the top. I also added some "Fray Check" to the edges of the ribbon to prevent fraying.
