Ribbon Wrapped Headband

Another Dollar Store project. The headbands were 3/$1, a bouquet of silk flowers for $1 and the ribbon was $.50 at Michael's. Oh yeah.. and you will need a glue gun.

Start by gluing the start of the ribbon at the end of the headband. Continue wrapping the ribbon around the headband and periodically gluing a spot at the underneath side, just to keep the ribbon in place as you continue wrapping.

This is the headband when it is completely wrapped...

For the flower, I took all of the pieces that was holding the flower together. My 5 year old picked out two buttons that I stacked on top and sewed everything together.

Buttons sewed through all of the petals and holes in the buttons.

I left a loop on the underneath side so that I could slide the flower on the headband. I pulled the loop tight and continued sewing loops around the headband until it was secure.

 Here is the finished headband!
